Synopsis
The story starts in the early 1990's...

A Chinese tractor mechanic nicked as Steelhead (Jackie Chan) illegally enters Japan in search for his girlfriend, Xiu Xiu (Xu Jinglei). Upon arriving safely in Japan, he reunites with his friends, Jie (Daniel Wu) & others in Shinjuku. Later, he is taught to do various menial labour to make a living in the District. And in one of these jobs, he coincidentally meet his girlfriend but sadly to find out she has married to a Japanese Yakuza Leader, Eguchi (Kato Masaya). He decides to stay in Japan and hope to get legal documents, leading with normal life. However life becomes complicated and he has no choice but to join Eguchi Yakuza gang...

Ayashi's Review [Spoiler-Free!]
Scary violence & bloodshed scenes... A very serious movie with no comedy scenes.  Besides that, the movie is okie. This is the very first movie starring Jackie Chan with no Kung Fu at all! Daniel Wu's later new makeover appearance in the movie is creepy but somehow I find it awesome.
Rating: 6/10

The movie is banned in China for its unflattering portrayal of illegal Chinese immigrants and for its violence.
