Storyline
The story started off with a human teenager (Natsume) desperately running off towards a temple while being chased by ghost in the forest.
Flashback showed a boy has the ability for seeing spirit and ghost. It was believed he inherited such from his grandma (Reiko's). Because of his cursed ability, people see him as creepy and weird, including his own biological parents.
His loneliness and hatred was later saved by Reiko's Book of Friends which contains a list of spirit names being defeated by Reiko in the past. Binded by the Contracts, spirits are forced to bow down to Reiko as her followers. On contrary, Natsume wished to return every single name back to them. As story goes on, he met Madara (a.k.a Nyanko Sensei) as his bodyguard and got pretty involve with the Spiritual World.

Pretty good storyline to start with. Each episodes never bored me.
Madara may looks cawaii in Nyanko form but totally awesome when he turns into true monstrous form. While in Nyanko form, he is always lazy and addict to sake.
